Thanks to those scouts who were able to attend the Earthday activities at the ASC Greenway. Many people enjoyed using the troop’s canoes to paddle around the lake again this year. Some even got escorted around the lake by capable members of the troop who were willing to do the paddling for them.

Troop 108 is again volunteering for the Earth Day celebration at the Anne Springs Close Greenway. Our troop provides free canoe rides for the public and has done so for many years. The scouts will help people put on life jackets, pick out a paddle and get in and out of the canoes.
We ask you to arrive at 8:00 am and go home at 3:00 pm.
Meet at the front door to the Dairy Barn. We will have someone there to direct you down to the tiny lake. Lunch will be provided.

Troop 108 would like to give a very special Thank You to ASM Tim Whitesell for his work in helping several of the Troop 108 Scouts with their Cooking Merit Badge. As part of the training, ASM Tim had 8 participants divide into two teams, gave them the same components and over two hours to create, prepare and serve their meals to the judges. (Leaders of course….) Teams were judged on Team Work, Safety, Creativity, cleanliness and taste.
The winner of this event will be announced at Monday’s meeting, but the real winners are the participants and the Scouts of Troop 108.
Thank You ASM Tim.
