Overnight at Unity Presbyterian Church – 08/16/24-8/17/24
7:30PM: We just ate dinner, which was pizza from Domino’s. In addition, we just finished up some work for the church, pulling out weeds and raking leaves. So far, this event has been a success.
9PM: We have spent roughly an 1 1/2 hours hanging out and playing video games. Still has been a great time!
9:15PM: One of our amazing retired scouts made the generous decision to donate cola and cookies to our game-night. We are very grateful for this donation.
10:45PM: We are all having a good time playing video games. We have a very late lights out time tonight, at a whopping 12AM, which is very late for a troop event. We have all had fun and there were no major potholes so far. This has been a great event!
8AM: We woke up roughly an hour ago and are currently almost done packing everything up. This was a great overnight!
Summary: This event was great and we had lots of fun!
Overnight at Unity Presbyterian Church – 03/22/24-03/23/24

New Scout Campout at Chester State Park – 02-16-18-2024
This was a great campout, and a perfect time to show the Eagle Patrol the ways and procedures of the troop! We have a few summaries from some troop members, which you may find below.
“It was good… but we need to work on some behaviors with some scouts, but other than that, it went well.”
“It went pretty smoothly; was a tad bit cold but overall went well, food was great and we were having a great time!”
“It went pretty well other than the time Durham tried to eat a brick but other than that it was pretty fun.”
“It was alright, Owen is a sigma.”
New Scout Campout at Chester State Park – Feb 21-Feb 23, 2025
Chester was freezing, but it was a blast! The food was amazing, and we had this huge campfire. We had a great time teaching the New Scouts the 3 Pot Method, the Totin’ Chip, and the Firem’n Chit. For our service project, we replaced some planks of wood on a bridge that was built in 2015 and cost $150,000, on “Lake Lakeview.” Overall, it was a fun campout.
Myrtle Beach Fishing Trip – Mar 21-Feb 23, 2025
We spent a sunny day on a fishing boat at Myrtle Beach, catching fish. It was fun, and everyone tried to catch a fish, learning along the way. Back at the campsite, we cleaned our fish, which was a requirement for the Fishing merit badge. Our leaders cooked the fish. Overall, it was a good campout.
Earth Day – Apr 11-Apr 13, 2025
Every year, we go to Anne Springs Greenway to help people with canoeing and kayaking. It’s fun to see others enjoy the water, and after they’re done, we get to paddle around too. After that, we camp out, which is a nice time to chit-chat with friends and enjoy nature. The best part is the service hours we earn for requirements.
Camp Grimes – Jun 15-Jun 21, 2025

Beach Sweep – Sep 5-Sep 7, 2025
This was a really conservative campout. We picked up a lot of trash on Myrtle Beach. We went to the pool at the campsite afterwards it was very fun. We ate dinner and shopped at Broadway at the Beach. It was really good for rank advancements because we got a lot of service hours.
Crowders Mountain Backpacking Trip – Oct 17-Oct 19, 2025
This Campout was really exciting and new because we had to bring our own meals and carry every thing in one load. It was tiring but really fun though. We hiked almost 10 miles up a very rocky terrain but it was worth to see the view at the top. We also ate lunch there.
Camp Cherokee – Nov 14-Nov 16, 2025
The campout was very fun because we got to be in Cabins! This is why we look forward to this campout. we also got to do some trail work which was really fun. We all had a campfire on the 15th it was really fun. Overall, we had an awesome time.
