Because of the potential for really cold and wet weather for the upcoming weekend, the adult leaders have decided that the campout scheduled for the ASC Greenway will be postponed until our March “Cross Over” Campout where we welcome new members moving up from Webelos.
Those who have already registered and paid for this weekend’s campout may either request a refund or have their payment carried over to the March campout event. – just let Ms. Nicky know which you prefer.

Because of the forecasted icy conditions in Fort Mill, Scoutmaster Ludolph has cancelled all planned activities for this evening.
Plans for this coming weekend’s campout are still on. Today is the last day to register to attend the campout as registration will close automagically later today.

February 16th’s Meeting
Even though there is no school on Monday due to President’s Day, the Patrol Leader’s Council will meet at 7pm to plan the next month’s meetings. Those who need a Board of Review may also attend. Scouts not needing a BOR or on the PLC need not attend as there will be no organized activities for these scouts.
Patrol Focused Campout Deadline
Scouts planning to attend the Patrol Focused Campout at the ASC Greenway on the 20th and 21st need to sign up using the online registration – even if you’re paying by check to the troop. This will allow us to quickly know who and who is not planning to attend so plans for food and equipment can be made for the correct number of attendees. Remember that scouts should sign up before February 16th as the registration will close automagically on that date.
Drew Hunter finished the last step toward Eagle Scout as he completed his Eagle Board of Review last night in Rock Hill. Congratulations to Drew on this achievement.
Scouts, Drew has an interesting story of peer pressure, persistence and achievement regarding his path to Eagle. Ask him about it.

Mrs. Ludolph will be starting the Personal management Merit Badge on Saturday, February 28th from 10am until 2:30pm (we may finish sooner). Any scouts interested in this Eagle required merit badge should see Mrs. Ludolph at the next troop meeting.
This class is limited to 15 scouts, and boys who are closer to the Eagle rank will be given the first opportunity to attend. Scouts will need to bring a packed lunch to this class.
More information will be provided to those selected to attend.

Scouts are strongly encouraged to join the troop as we worship with members of Unity Presbyterian Church at their early service on Sunday, February 8th, 2015. Scouts should gather in full uniform at about 8:20am at the front of the church sanctuary, and will sit together during the service.
This year Scout Sunday falls on the 115th Anniversary of the founding of the movement in the United States.
Troop 108 will hold a patrol focused campout at the ASC Greenway from 5pm on Friday, February 20th until 5pm on Saturday, February 21st, 2015. Parents should drop off and pick up their scouts at the Rush Pavilion. Cost is $15 per scout.

Scouts: be sure to bring your Scout Handbooks as this will be a great opportunity to working on rank advancements!!!!!

Just a reminder that there will be no regular meeting on January 19th. We WILL have a PLC meeting beginning at 7pm to allow our youth leaders to plan out upcoming meetings.
The upcoming Polar Bear camporee will be at Camp Conley Clark on January 16 through the 18th. Permission slips (link below) and payment are due by the end of the troop meeting on January 12th.
Note that there will be 2 departure times:
1) Scouts are out of school on the 16th, so our plan is to leave with a pre-determined setup crew at Noon (any changes to this time WILL BE COMMUNICATED AT THE Jan 12 TROOP MEETING). This will allow this crew to get to the site and get camp set up before darkness sets in and our late departures arrive.
2) Unless your scout has made arrangements with Scoutmaster Ludolph to leave at Noon with the setup crew , scouts should be at the scout hut at 5pm on Friday.
Cost for the trip is $30
