Scouts BSA Troop 108, Fort Mill, SC

We have created a new “Forms” page on the site to house the most recent versions of the “Troop 108 Code of Conduct” document, the “Youth Leadership Job Descriptions and Responsibilities” document and the master template used by the PLC for planning troop meetings.
Find the “Forms” pages listed along the left hand column of the site or click here to be taken to the page.
Andrew White’s Eagle Scout project, originally scheduled to begin this Saturday, December 8, 2012, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
Andrew will advise when it has been rescheduled.
See the requirements for 2012 Howard Hunter Award below:
Howard Hunter 2012 – Youth Requirements
Howard Hunter 2012 – Adult Requirements
The list of names of qualifying youth and adults needs to be emailed to David Harllee, York District Activities Chair, at the email address on the requirement listing by December 1st, 2012.
Catawba Masonic Lodge will be a drop-off location for Toys For Tots during the Fort Mill Christmas Parade. Two to four scouts are needed to assist people dropping off toys.
The lodge is also making coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and other goodies available for purchase as a fundraiser for community projects.
Let Scoutmaster Harllee know if you’re interested.

Troop 108 is participating in Unity Presbyterian Church’s Angel Tree this Christmas. Embracing the Scout Oath – “To Help Other People…” and one of the points of the Scout Law – “A Scout Is Helpful”, we hope to allow the scouts in our troop to contribute to the gift of the 7-year-old boy who wants a bicycle for Christmas.
Scouts who wish to participate should bring their contribution in a sealed envelope with “Angel Tree” written on the outside and give the envelope to either Ms. Nicky or Ms. Donna. We are not concerned with how little or how much each scout can contribute (and nobody will every know), the leaders just feel that this is a classic opportunity for each scout to see the Scout Oath and Law in action while making a 7-year-old in our community have a Merry Christmas!
UPDATE!: Thanks to all of the scouts who brought in contributions for our “Angel”. We were very quickly able to select and purchase an appropriate bike and safety gear for him. Again, THANKS!
Each scout’s $45 membership renewal fee for 2013 is due now. Please pay your scout(s) fee as soon as possible.
Mark Monday, December 10th at 6:30pm on your calendars because it is Troop 108 Winter Court of Honor time.
Scouts report to Unity Hall at 6:30pm. The “parents update meeting” to start promptly at 6:30pm in the Unity Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. The Winter Court of Honor will begin after the Parents meeting at approximately 7:00pm
Troop 108 is now offering the much loved troop sweatshirts and hoodies for purchase again. A pre-order can be made by sending a check in the appropriate amount to either the November 12th or November 19th troop meetings. If it is to be a gift, put the check in an envelope with “ASM Ludolph” on the outside of the envelope and have your scout give it to any leader at either of the dates above. Be sure to indicate the correct size in the memo field of the check.
The crew-neck sweatshirt will cost $20
The hoodie will cost $25
No additional orders will be accepted after the close of the November 19th meeting in order to expedite the manufacture of the items in time for Christmas.

The Masons of Catawba Lodge 56 are having a “Ham Sale”. These will be 4 pound boston butt hams that will be slow cooked to perfection. Hams will cost $25 each. If you would like to order a ham, please email hbhamsale@catawbalodge56.com.
Payment will be required prior to the order being placed, and directions for that will be given to you once you order. The last day to place an order is Friday, November 16th.
You can pick up your ham order at the Masonic Lodge the morning of November 20th, 2012.
