August Merit Badge College in Rock Hill

The scouts of Troop 108 has the opportunity to attend the York District Merit Badge College on 8/9/14.
The event will take place at Aldersgate UMC located at 2115 Celanese Rd. in Rock Hill, SC. Classes start at 8:00am and end at 5:30pm. Transportation will NOT be provided. All scouts are required to be in Class A uniform.
There is a $15.00 fee to attend and payment must be made to Troop 108 by Monday, July 21st. The fee covers lunch, drinks, patch, and some course materials.
The classes are first come, first serve so please turn in your course selections to Mrs. Ludolph or Mr. Whitesell as soon as possible and no later than Monday, June 28th. Classes that are marked with an asterisk are Eagle Required.

We recommend that new scouts start by taking some (or all) of the three citizenship classes. Also note that most of the classes have prerequisites that must be finished and brought to class for the badge to be marked complete. Without the prerequisites, the scout will receive partial credit and will need to finish it at a later date.

You can find the badge requirements by visiting meritbadge.org.

Thursday & Friday CBH Pictorial Recap

Sadly, our troop didn’t bring home the purple paddle or the spirit award, but the boys had a good time and earned many merit badges.

Tyler Blackwell knocked out 12 merit badges this week!  Way to go Tyler!

Congratulations to all of our scouts for a great week at CBH, and “THANK YOU” to the adult leaders that took hard-earned time off from work to spend it with our guys at camp this week.

Remember, no meeting this week.  We’ll reconvene on  July 14th at the regular place and time ready to have a great rest of the summer.
