Troop 108 Gathers 870 lbs of Food

Thanks to the residents of the Whiteville Park community for donating 870 pounds of food for the Fort Mill Care Center during the Scouting for Food drive this year.

Thanks too to those scouts and scouters that were able to assist with passing out or picking up the food collection bags this year.

Scouting for Food Collection at 9am November 8th

Meet at the scout hut at 9am this Saturday morning to participate in the Scouting for Food collection activity.

This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and earn service hours as well.

Contact ASM John Bisel if you have any questions at 803-322-8332.

Scouting For Food Update – Postponed Until 1PM on November 2nd

Since our collection bags are paper and Saturday is supposed to be a wet day, our troop bag distribution has been postponed to November 2nd @ 1pm  at the scout hut (be sure to set your clocks back 1 hour on Saturday night).

Asst. Scoutmaster John Bisel is heading up our Scouting for Food efforts this year, so if you have questions or need more information about the rescheduled bag distribution, please call him at 803-322-8332

Scouting For Food Bag Distribution on November 1st ~ Bag Pickup on November 8th

scouting for food

Scouts, we have a great opportunity for service in our community on two upcoming weekends.  On November 1st scouts will gather at the Scout Hut at 8:30am and move as a group throughout Whiteville Park (the neighborhood behind the scout hut) distributing bags for neighbors to fill up.  We’ll then canvas the neighborhood on November 8th at 9am collecting the filled bags to take to the Fort Mill Care Center.

Scouts will earn service hours for their ranks, they will have fun, but most importantly, they will make an impact on the lives of those in our community who so badly need the help and support of those that are willing to help.  Come make a difference!

School Night For Scouting 2014 – Your Help Needed

Come Join Cub Scouts – Come Have FUN!

The scouts and leaders of Troop 108 will be assisting our “little brothers”, Pack 108, with their School Night For Scouting efforts at Fort Mill Elementary School (192 Springfield Parkway, Fort Mill, SC) AND Doby Bridge Elementary School (4137 Dobys Bridge Rd, Fort Mill, SC) on Thursday, September 4th, 2014.  Our leaders will be helping to inform the new Cub Scout parents about the program and make sure that all new scout’s paperwork is filled out correctly.

We need some of our scouts to show up at each of the two schools about 6:30pm to work together to lead boys interested in joining Cub Scouts through some songs, skits and cheers.  Essentially we want you to help them see just how much fun scouting can be!  You should be finished up by 8pm.

This will be a great opportunity to help scouting in our community, have fun and earn a little service hour time as well.  If you have any questions, please contact Ben Ludolph or use the CONTACT US form on this site to send an email to the Scoutmaster.

The Palmetto Council has set up a great website that contains lots of great information for potential members.  It can be found here:
