5-Mile Hile to ASC Greenway

Several scouts and leaders headed out from the scout hut on a beautiful Saturday afternoon for a 5-mile hike out to the ASC Greenway.

Once there, they set up camp and enjoyed an overnight camping experience. Around 6pm those scouts taking Communications Merit Badge dropped by to organize and lead an in-camp campfire program for the group since it is one of the requirements for the badge that has been hard to get.

Then the scouts that had just participated in the in-camp campfire program took what they had learned and practiced and visited and practically ran the campfire program for a Mecklenburg County Council cub scout pack that was also camping in the area.

On Sundy the group will pack up and enjoy the greenway for a while before going home.
