Troop Elections

We will be electing the new Asst. Senior Patrol Leader of the troop on June 15th.   Those interested should be at least Star rank and 13 years old and have spoken with the Scoutmaster and have gotten his approval to seek this office prior to the 15th.

On June 15th, those interested in becoming ASPL will each have a few minutes to speak to the troop about why they would be a good choice for this troop leadership position.   Candidates should be careful not to speak badly about anyone else running against them, but are encouraged to be positive about why they are the best choice.

Everyone should remember that the ASPL’s job is a 12 month committment.   Six months will be served as ASPL while the youth leader gets a better feel for leading the troop, and then six months as the troop’s highest youth leader, the Senior Patrol Leader.

Patrols will keep their current leadership until the school starts back in the fall.   At that time we will hold patrol-level elections.
