Troop 108 presented a plaque of appreciation to Marlins at Springmaid Beach just before hitting the beach on Saturday, September 7th, 2013. Marlins has been so supportive of Troop 108’s annual Beach Sweep efforts for over 10 years.
Mrs. Ludolph will be at the scout hut on Wednesday, September 4th, from 6pm until 7pm to accept permission slips and payment (exact cash please) for Beach Sweep. This is the last chance to get signed up for beach sweep.
Our webhost will be making some changes to the servers that our website is hosted on in the next couple of days. If you’re unable to get into the website, this could be the reason.
The permission slip for the upcoming Beach Sweep weekend is below in PDF format.
The Beach Sweep trip cost, what scouts should bring (and what they shouldn’t), what is covered by the trip fee and what they should bring spending money for were all discussed at length during our last troop meeting.
Your scout should be able to supply you with this information from the notes he took at the meeting. Please check with him.
Scoutmaster Harllee advises that the workday planned for the Masonic lodge has been postponed due to today’s rain.
It will be rescheduled for a later time.
Austin Hendel will be leading his Eagle Scout project of builing a playhouse for the preschool at Lake Wylie Lutheran Chuurch (corner of Hwy. 160 west and Gold Hill Road) on Saturday, July 27th from 7am until 3pm.
Lunch and beverages will be provided.
Please bring safety goggles, gloves and ear protection if you have them. All tools will be provided. Wear your work clothes as we hope to be painting later in the project.
Please let Austin know if you’ll be able to attend.
Andrew White will be leading a group to finish up his Eagle Scout project on the ASC Greenway on July 20th, 2013.
The group will meet at the horse barn at 9am and will work until noon. Workers are asked to bring gloves and a water bottle (it will be hot).
