For Saturday February 12, 2011, they will be adding another merit badge opportunity – Geocaching – for both the morning and afternoon sessions of Merit Badge College in Rock Hill.
Remember, both your course selections for each day you plan to attend along with your class fee ($2 per class) as well as $5 per day if you want them to provide your lunch, is due no later than the close of the regular troop meeting on January 31st. 2011.
The 2011 York District Merit Badge College will be held on three Saturdays in February, the 12th, 19th and 26th. A listing of the merit badges being taught on each of those days along with the daily schedule can be found below.
Scouts wanting to attend the event must give ASM Britt Helms $2 for each merit badge class you are planning to take along with $5 per day if you plan for them to supply you with lunch. Scouts are responsible for their own transportation to and from St. Anne’s Catholic Parish (1694 Bird Street, Rock Hill) where the event is being hosted.
Deadline for registering and paying ASM Helms is the regular Monday night meeting on January 31st. There can be no class changes or new registrations for the event after the close of the troop meeting that night.
Since there will be no school tomorrow because of the bad weather, there will be no scout meeting.
Have safe fun in the snow and we’ll see those scouts attending the Polar Bear camping on Friday evening.
We’ll have PLC & ISWN on January 17th & our next regular meeting will be January 24th.
Troop members who have paid their dues and who bring $5 will get their new shirt at the January 24th meeting.
Please make sure that you have paid your dues for 2011 and bring your $5 so you can get yours.
