Last chance to get signed up for Beach Sweep

The annual Beach Sweep event is right around the corner and for many it is “the best campout of the year”. Could this be because it is so laid-back and relaxed, we eat out almost all weekend, we have putt-putt, paddle-boats, arcades, ice cream bar, snack bar, pool, water park and so much more? Maybe….

Scouts will need to bring money for a fast food supper on the way down and quick breakfast on the way back and any pocket money for the aforementioned arcades and snack bars. Breakfast on Saturday will be at what used to be Springmaid Beach and following breakfast we will clean the beach at that location before returning to the campground. The boys will then essentially have free time until about 4:30 or 5pm to enjoy all that the campground has to offer. We will have the makings for sandwiches along with drinks and chips available for the scouts to swing by camp and make their lunch during the day. We will then head out to a Golden Corral style buffet for supper. Saturday’s supper is sometimes followed by more activities like watching college football, watching a movie and more putt-putt and such.

Cost for the trip is $65.00.
