Junior Assistant Scoutmaster Position

The Junior Assistant Scoutmaster is a position of responsibility that will “follow the guidance of the Scoutmaster in providing support and supervision to other boy leaders in the troop. Upon his 18th birthday, a junior assistant Scoutmaster will be eligible to become an assistant Scoutmaster.” (Definition excerpt from bsahandbook.org.)

To be considered for this position you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Achieved the rank of Eagle Scout
  • Have served on staff for a district or council event.
  • Have completed S.E.A.L.S or NYLT training
  • Request a Scout Master Conference and Board of Review
