Scouts BSA Troop 108, Fort Mill, SC

This is a reminder that all families are asked to bring a finger food of some type for all to enjoy after the Court of Honor on Monday, December 13.
The parents meeting begins at 6:30pm and the Court of Honor begins at 7:00pm.

The troop’s youth leaders have narrowed the possible summer camp choices for our older scouts down to four choices. We’ve put PDF versions of the guides for each of the four camps below. We suggest that you download and look at what each of them have to offer.
Our first year scouts will be attending Camp Bob Hardin’s great first year program headed up by Efrim.
The four camps being considered are listed below:
2010 BSA Camp Bob Hardin Guide
2010 BSA Camp Bud Schiele Guide
2011 BSA Camp Old Indian Guide
2011 BSA Camp Daniel Boone Guide
Scouts will vote on a camp for the older scouts to attend while the parents have their meeting prior to the Court of Honor on December 13th.
Any boys who would like to help Andrew White give out candygrams to the seniors, leaders and staff of the Nation Ford High School Marching Band for their hard work and dedication to their program are to come to the drinking water fountain at Walter Y. Elisha Park at 9:30 A.M. on December 4th, the day of the Christmas Parade.
Any help would be appreciated.
Click on the picture above to see a really big view of the new Troop 108 red t-shirts that was picked by a team of scouts from the troop from designs created by Britt Helms, Jr.. We may also be offering Hoodies and Sweatshirts for those that prepay once we get a better idea of the cost. Keep checking back here for the latest.
Our goal is to have the t-shirts by the Winter Court of Honor on December 13th, if possible.
Next Monday night (November, 22nd) the Troop will hold elections for ASPL. Any scouts that are interested in running must speak and get the approval of the scout master prier to the election.
Brenton Tate Lowney is having his Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Sunday, November 14th, 2010 at 3:00pm in Unity Chapel (the old sanctuary) at Unity Prebyterian Church (303 Tom Hall St., Fort Mill, S.C.).
It is requested that you park in the parking lot behind the scout hut as the church is holding an open house of their new sanctuary and spaces in front of the church and near the bee building will be reserved for that activity.
Refreshments to follow in Unity Hall.

Scouting For Food bag pick up is on Saturday, November 6th. Scouts should meet at the scout hut and be ready to leave at 9am. All food collected will be taken to the Fort Mill Care Center on Banks Street.
Scouts needing service hours can use this as an opportunity to earn needed service time while helping the community.
